California Art

A collection of California Art by Ana Hussey, inspired by the architecture, landscapes, and unmistakable light of Southern California. From San Diego’s Balboa Park and swaying Mission Bay palms to the vineyards of Temecula, each artwork begins with a real place and turns a familiar California moment into a bold, contemporary composition.

California Art Inspired by Real Places

California is where architecture, landscape, and light seem to constantly change the view.

In this collection, artist Ana Hussey draws from places across Southern California that carry a distinct sense of place. The palms of Mission Bay become studies in movement and color. Temecula’s vineyards shift with the light of the day. In Balboa Park, San Diego’s historic architecture is reduced to an unexpected detail: the ornate dome beside the California Tower, isolated against bold fields of color.

Rather than recreating an entire scene, Hussey focuses on one element worth remembering: a palm in motion, a cluster of grapes, an architectural detail against the sky. Each is reimagined in her signature oversized postage-stamp format, connecting contemporary California Art with the idea of places carried with us.

San Diego Art

San Diego is a recurring subject in Ana Hussey’s California collection. From the palms of Mission Bay to the historic architecture of Balboa Park, these San Diego prints focus on small details that define the city: movement, color, distinctive architecture, and Southern California light.

Temecula Art - California Wine Country

Inspired by California wine country, Ana Hussey's Vineyard series captures Temecula through changing color and light. Each work transforms a familiar vineyard detail into contemporary Temecula Art in the studio's oversized postage-stamp format.
